1. Service Description

Afiyetse is a free listings platform where people who make handmade and homemade products publish their listings. Afiyetse is not the seller, producer, importer or distributor of any product. No payments are received through the platform, no commissions are charged, no orders are processed and no deliveries are made. Purchase, payment and delivery take place solely between seller and buyer outside the platform (for example via WhatsApp).

2. User Responsibilities

Registered users confirm that the information they provide is accurate and up to date. Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of product descriptions, ingredient information and prices.

3. Product Approval Process

All listings published on the platform undergo a content review before publication. This review concerns only the content and visual appropriateness of the listing; it does not mean that the product has been checked for legal, hygienic or food safety compliance (see Section 8). Afiyetse reserves the right to reject listings it finds inappropriate or in breach of the rules.

4. Privacy and Personal Data

Afiyetse processes your personal data under the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG). Data collected: name, e-mail address, phone/WhatsApp number, city/region, profile photo and seller description. This data is used solely to provide the platform service, publish listings and communicate with users. Information published on the seller profile (name, city, phone) is public; the e-mail address is not public. Data is not sold to third parties or shared for marketing purposes. The technical infrastructure (hosting and e-mail) is operated through our service provider. Data is retained while your account is active; after you delete your account, your personal data is removed within a reasonable period. You have the right to access, correct, delete and object to the processing of your data; please send such requests to info@afiyetse.com. The platform uses necessary cookies for session management and language selection; it does not use marketing or tracking cookies.

5. Limitation of Liability

Afiyetse is not responsible for the content of listings, nor for the quality, safety, hygiene, legal compliance or delivery of products. The seller placing the listing is solely responsible for all legal obligations in their country and region. Afiyetse is not a party to any dispute between seller and buyer.

6. Changes

Afiyetse may update these terms from time to time. Updates will be announced through the platform, and continued use of the platform by users implies acceptance of the updated terms.

7. Seller's Legal Obligations

Sellers who publish food product listings are required to comply with the food legislation of their country and region. In Switzerland, food production and sale may require notification to the competent Cantonal Laboratory (notifica di attività alimentari / Meldepflicht). Fulfilling this obligation rests solely with the seller. Afiyetse does not verify such notifications and does not guarantee their existence. By publishing a listing, the seller declares compliance with the applicable regulations.

8. Listing Publication Conditions

Afiyetse reserves the right to remove or reject any listing without stating a reason. The publication of a listing does not mean that the legal compliance of the product has been reviewed or approved by Afiyetse. The check carried out before publication concerns content appropriateness only.
